Jetty Cottage is conveniently located on Wilson Inlet to which the Denmark River flows. The river flows through the Denmark Dam. The two tributaries of the river are Scotsdale Brook and Cleerillup Creek.

The local Aborigine people, the "Noongar" call the river "Koorrabup" which means "Place of the Black Swan". However it was named Denmark River in 1829 by the river's discoverer Dr Thomas Braidwood Wilson. He was having his ship repaired in Albany and named the river after a physician Dr Alexander Denmark who was of the British Fleet.

The banks of the Denmark River are a beautiful location for picnics and are also home to the Denmark Arts Market. You can step across the road to the Denmark Hotel for great pub grub and a beer.

Book your stay at Jetty Cottage today so that you can take advantage of the beauty of the Denmark River.
